FOUNDATION POSTERS
At St. Joseph’s Health Centre, I led the redesign and rollout of foundation posters and signage across the hospital. The existing materials had been developed over time in an ad-hoc way, resulting in inconsistent placement, messaging, and visuals.
The goal of this project was to create a unified system that strengthened the Foundation’s presence in the hospital environment while improving clarity, consistency, and overall patient and staff experience.
The challenge: Foundation signage had become fragmented across departments and locations, with little cohesion in how messaging was presented or where it appeared. Rather than simply put up new posters I needed to develop a more strategic approach that thought of all the spaces as one experience, considered the different groups the messaging targeted, and how to improve the update process in the future.
The solution: The updated signage system brings consistency to Foundation communications across the hospital, with a clearer visual hierarchy and more intentional placement throughout key spaces.
The new system strengthens:
Brand consistency across all Foundation touchpoints
Visibility of donor-supported impact within the hospital environment
Clarity of messaging for patients, visitors, and staff
Flexibility for future updates and campaigns

The impact: The refreshed signage has transformed previously fragmented areas into more cohesive, welcoming spaces that better reflect the Foundation’s brand and purpose.
Informally, hospital staff have shared that the updated environments feel noticeably brighter and more welcoming, reinforcing the importance of thoughtful, consistent design in clinical settings.
Key Takeaway: This project was highly collaborative and one of the most rewarding aspects of the work. I worked closely with internal Foundation teams, hospital departments, senior leadership, and an external design agency to ensure alignment across priorities, messaging, and implementation.
Projects like this reinforce the value of drawing on multiple perspectives to create stronger, more thoughtful outcomes.
